Sunset Experience with an Apéritif above Lake Annecy
Climbing Mont Veyrier in the late afternoon is much more than a simple hike. It’s a golden pause in time, a moment suspended between sky and lake.
The trail winds gently through the forest, in a cool and peaceful atmosphere. Little by little, the light softens, birds quieten, and you can feel that something special is about to happen.
Upon reaching the summit or one of the viewpoints (Mont Baron or the Veyrier ridge), the show begins: Lake Annecy lights up with shades of pink, orange and gold, framed by the mountains, while the town below slowly starts to glow.

The day begins in the charming village of Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, nestled in a lush valley. Here, the air is pure and the only sounds are the murmur of streams and birdsong. It’s the perfect starting point for a hike that will delight all your senses. The route may vary depending on the date and group composition.
Our first stop is the famous Cascade du Rouget, often called the “Queen of the Alps.” At 90 meters high, it is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the region. Crystal-clear water cascades in a sparkling veil, creating a hypnotic spectacle that will leave you speechless.
Next, Cascade de la Pleureuse – An Aquatic Symphony. Here, the water gently “weeps” along the rock face, offering a striking contrast with the power of the Cascade du Rouget. It’s a serene moment where time seems to stand still.
Then, Cascade de la Sauffaz – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Forest. This peaceful waterfall flows into a natural pool, inviting contemplation and relaxation.
Back in the village, we head to the Cirque du Fer à Cheval (transfer by shuttle or vehicle). You’ll carry home unforgettable memories and a deep connection with nature.
