Shearing our Savoyard sheep
MIEUSSY: Experience the unique world of sheep and sheep shearing.
Spend an afternoon with our flock of Thônes et Marthod sheep, a hardy Savoyard breed, above the village of Mieussy. Learn about their characteristics, how the breed was saved, and the purpose of shearing. A shearer, brought in especially for the occasion, will give a demonstration! Enjoy a moment of sharing and learning about agropastoral life! A delicious afternoon snack will then be served on the terrace overlooking Mont Blanc, featuring local products (Savoyard cake, jams, and fruit juices).
What you'll love: Being in the middle of a park, being close to the animals, and watching the shearing.
A timeless experience; a gourmet break with a tasting of local jams; and the view of Mont Blanc. The pluses: easy access / a return to nature / tasting of local products / time to relax and read, with Mont Blanc as a backdrop
