Lac de Vallon - a must-see
The Lac de Vallon, located in Bellevaux is a natural jewel nestled at the foot of the Roc d'Enfer, it is a magnificent mountain lake formed following a landslide in 1943. Under its lake waters, you can discover with us the ruins of sunken hamlets...
It is a major geosite of the Chablais UNESCO Global Geopark. As we walk around the lake, we'll learn about the history of its formation and the men who occupy its shores. The beautiful chapel of Saint Bruno on the edge of the lake invites us to reflect.
